ARCA Automobile Club of America History
The Automobile Club of America (ARCA) was founded by John and Mildred Marcum in 1953 and was originally known as the Midwest Association for Race Cars (MARC).
The main competition sanctioned by (ARCA) is the ARCA RE/MAX Series, which allows professional, amateur and up and coming NASCAR drivers to compete against each other. Most of the cars used are former NASCAR cars.
