ASL American Stock Car League History

On February 5th 2005, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the American Stockcar League (ASL) was born, with a ten race schedule for 2005.

The series, created because the AMA ran into trouble in 2004, effectively leaving many with cars and engines that could not be raced anywhere else, is more cost effective; boasting lower entry fees, lower hotel rates, tyre limits and shorter races.
