Due to skilful management and a formula that appeals to the crowds, the Asian Touring Car Championship (ATCC) has increased in popularity and is set to become one of the premier touring car championships in the world.

The cars used appear to have little difference to their street legal cousins giving them more familiarity to the spectator, thus enhancing their popularity.
