Biography

Bryan Vickers was born on Oct. 24, 1983 in Thomasville, North Carolina. He started racing in go-carts at the age of 10. He won 83 races and three national championships until he revs up to the Allison Legacy Cars Series in 1998. He started competing in NASCAR in 1999. At age 16, Vickers gathered six victories and 11 pole awards.

In 1999, Vickers was dubbed "Rising Star of the Year" by Motorsports Magazine. He joined the USAR ProCup Series in 2000 winning two races making him the youngest winner. He also became Rookie of the Year in the same season. Vickers won two more ProCup races in 2001.

In 2001, Vickers kicked off his Busch Series driving for his father, Clyde Vickers.

Vickers had his first Busch race victory in August 2003 at Indianapolis Raceway Park. He became the youngest champion in Busch History.
