Biography

Casey Mears was born on March 12, 1978 in Bakersfield, California but is curretly residing in Huntersville, N.C..

He grew up and learned fromm his father, Roger Mears (off-road legend), and his uncle, Rick Mears (four-time Indianapolis 500 winner).

He started racing BMX bicycles and ATV's(all terrain vehicle) in his hometown speedway in Bakersfield, California at the age of 4 in 1982, this was the start of his racing career. He also raced in go-karts in 1991 and Off-road series in 1992.

In 1995, he won the USAC Triple Crown Championship. In 1996, he finished 8th and made his Indy Indy Lights debut in Cleveland Grand Prix.

He won in the Grand Prix of Houston in the year 2000. He started testing Indy Cars and finished fourth in the CART Series at California Speedway which was his CART debut.

In 2006, he won his first Busch Series competition at Chicagoland Speedway. He also competed in the Nextel Cup and made his career-best by making to the 14th in the final point standings, with two top-five and eight top-10 finishes.
