History
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve stands on a man-made island in the St. Lawrence River. The track was named after the father of 1997 F1 world champ Jacques Villeneuve, the late Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve.
The track has hosted Formula One and Champ Car series races.
