Endurance motor racing has evolved to test the durability of the driver and the vehicle to its maximum extent.

Races can be over a set distance (1000km+) or the longest distance achieved in a set time period (12-24 hours).

The Le Mans 24 hour race (24 heures du Mans) is held in France and is probably the most famous sports car endurance race in the world.
