Biography

Jason Jarrett was born on October 14, 1975 in Newton, North Carolina to a family of race car drivers. His father, Dale, and grandfather Ned were champions in NASCAR.

In 1993, Jason had his career launch in the World Karting Association (WKA). He bagged the WKA's Sprint Division Championship of the Carolina's Cup at North Carolina Speedway located in Rockingham, North Carolina.

The next year, Jason returned to Hickory Motor Speedway. He had one victory and one pole. He also earned the Rookie-of-the-Year honors.He revs up into the Winston Racing Series Late Model Stock Division in 1995.

Jarrett made his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Hickory Motor Speedway on March 29, 1997.

In 2001, Jarrett started his ARCA RE/MAX Series career, and had his first victory in the BPU 200 at Kansas Speedway.

In 2004, Jarrett collected 7 top-five and 11 top ten finishes. He had one win and second place finish at the two Salem events, and third place finishes at Kansas and Lake Erie speedways.
