Biography
Jeremy Allen Mayfield was born on May 27, 1969 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He is married to Shana and lives in Mooresville, North Carolina.
As a child, Jeremy already has a knack for speed. He spent his time pedaling his bike a fast as he could. Like may racing drivers, Mayfield's first exposure on four wheels was on go-carts.
From go-carts, Mayfield moved up to Street Stocks and Late Model Stock Cars. In 1987, he bagged the Rookie of the Year award at Owensboro’s Kentucky Motor Speedway.
In 1993, Mayfield had another Rookie of the Year award in the ARCA Series. It was also in the same year that he made his first start in NASCAR’s premiere series in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 2007, Mayfield joins Bill Davis Racing in driving the No. 36 OTC 360-sponsored Toyota Camry for Bill and Gail Davis.
