Biography
Ken Schrader was born on May 29, 1995 in Fenton, Missouri. He is married to Ann with children Dorothy and Sheldon.
At the age of 3, Schrader started driving a cable tied go-cart at the backyard of their Midwestern home. His love for racing grew over the years. He even had more than 100 races a year at one point in his career.
Schrader's career began driving on dirt tracks winning every division he raced including two USAC championships.
He got his break in 1984 when started five Cup races for owner Elmo Langley. Schrader headed for a full-time ride in the Winston Cup Series the following year driving for Junie Donlavey. He bagged the 1985 Rookie of the Year honors.
In 1988, Schrader shifted to Hendrick Motorsports from Donlavey Racing. He won all four of his victories in nine seasons with the Hendrick Motorsports.
Schrader moved to Andy Petree Racing in 1997. From 2000-2002, he drove for MB2 Motorsports and then in 2003, he moved to BAM Motorsports.
