Biography

Kenny was born on August 23, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the co-host of two programs for Speed Channel each week; NASCAR This Morning and NASCAR Victory Lane. He came from a family where racing is a household reality. The youngest son of a great racer on the local dirt tracks, Russ Wallace, Kenny was a longtime mechanic and crew member for his brothers Rusty and Mike.

In 1982, Kenny tried driving a race car of his own in the Illinois Street Stock State Championship where he won.

In 1986, he named ASA Rookie of the Year.

Kenny started competing in NASCAR in September of 1988. He raced the full Busch Series the next year and became 1989 Rookie of the Year. In 1991 and 1994, Kenny was voted Busch Series Most Popular Driver by the fans.
