Mud Racing
Mud racing, or mud bogging/mud drags, have one sole aim - to drive a machine, usually a truck, through a mud pit of a set length, in the shortest time. The first mud racers were pick-up trucks and SUVs with raised suspension and large tyres, to raise them out of the mud.
The modern 'bogger' machine can have paddle or scoop tyres, huge supercharged/nitrous oxide engines and dragster-style "rail" design bodies.
The National Mud Racing Organization (NMRO) is the only national sanctioning body for the sport of straight-line mud racing.
There are 6 classes of NMRO Mud Drags split into Sportsman and Pro Series classes.
