Regularity Rallying, which also goes by the name Time Speed Distance (TSD) Rallying, is an alternative rally sport which was born out of the ever increasing financial demands of special stage rallying, thus giving motorsport enthusiasts another option where they can compete in uncommercialized and less competitive events. Basically, the main objective for participants (consist of a driver and a navigator) is to be able to maintain precise times and precise average speeds on various segments of a predefined route. The teams normally start a regularity rally at fixed intervals creating a field that is spread along the route. Although basically sharing the same origins with road rallying, regularity rallying differs from it because TSD rallying gives premium somewhat on the maintenance of precise speeds and times rather than on navigation.

The Classic Regularity Rally Association of South Africa or simply CRRASA, conducts regularity rallying events in South Africa and is considered as one of the upper-echelons of the sport in that region. The organization basically gives more focus on the Classic Cars or vehicles that were manufactured in 1982 or earlier although normal untweaked cars are still being welcomed to participate. The body operates under the Motorsports South Africa (MSA) and is consists of motor vehicle enthusiasts that are passionate about both the classical cars and the motorsport. The org's rallies involve traveling at a consistent average speed below the legal speed limit, with competitors timed along the route at secret, hidden and self timed controls to the nearest second. Participants wishing to take part in CRRASA events need to become a member first as these rallies are exclusive to CRRASA members.
