| What is Supersport Racing?

Supersport Racing is a motorcycle competition between modified production bikes that have a four-stroke engine of between 400 and 600cc for four-cylinder machines, and between 600 and 750cc for twins. Participating vehicles must also be cleared of FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) homologation requirements in order to be eligible. Supersport regulations are also tighter compared to Superbikes, as the chassis of supersport machine must remain largely as standard while the engine tuning, although possible, is being tightly regulated. Nevertheless, these strict rules has not reduced the Supersport's following as it remains to be one of the more popular classes of national racing for many years now. Supersport World Championship races are approximately 100km long and takes place during every Superbike World Championship rounds.
