SCSA Stock Car Speed Association (formerly ASCAR) History

The SCSA series was originally known as ASCAR but changed its name after NASCAR complained about the similarity to its name.

It then went under the name of 'Days of Thunder' in 2003; dropped the title ASCAR in 2004 and become known as the 'Days of Thunder Racing Series'. The current name of Stock Car Speed Association (SCSA) was created after the series teamed with the American Speed Association (ASA).

The Pickup Truck Racing Series was incorporated under the same banner.

SCSA's races are currently held at Rockingham in England, and most of the cars which formerly raced in the ASA National Tour series can also be found racing here.
