Touring Car Racing

Touring Car Racing uses factory built, production car shells with added or modified components that can be far removed from the specifications of their production run cousins.

Most popular in Europe and Australia, touring car series can include short 'sprint' races as well as the longer endurance style races.

The difference between Touring car and Sports car classification is blurred, often with little or no difference between the two. Touring cars are usually based on 'normal' looking family cars, while the GTs are modelled on the more exotic Ferraris and such.
